BLOOMS, BLOOMS, BLOOMS…
Whether it’s petit rose buds featured on a lady like vintage daytime frock,
a groovy statement palm tree jumpsuit,
tropical flowers printed on a pair of modern day hot pants,
or even a silk scarf with a floral lace appliqué – blooms are everywhere this Spring and are here to stay!
Not sure whether to take the plunge into this ever blooming trend?
Why not start out small with pieces that are still within the comfort zone of your individual style yet is still introducing the trend (slightly) into your wardrobe. For example a floral lace trim on the bottom of a classic day dress, or a classic white lace capped sleeve on an everyday striped tee with a floral clutch are perfect ways to introduce this new trend into your own wardrobe without over doing it.

Need brand inspiration or a guide?
I suggest starting out by exploring well known brands like Esprit, Zara, Country Road and Topshop and working your way further into the fashion label world from there onwards, into Review and Alannah Hill. However if you are a teen or a savvy trendsetter shopper and prefer brands like Sportsgirl, Forever New and Dotti, go ahead! They always incorporate floral elements into their collections, especially in Spring and Summer, so you’re bound to find something there also.
Accessories are another vital element in perfecting a trend, especially if you’re still unsure whether you want to invest in a more expensive garment like a evening dress or statement capri pants. I suggest brands like Collette Hayman (see their website here: http://www.colettehayman.com.au/), Lovisa (see their website here: http://www.lovisa.com.au/) and if Mimco (see their website here: http://www.mimco.com.au/), as well as local fairs and markets – you’d be surprised what you can find if you set your mind to it.
