Christmas Party Wardrobe…

There’s only six more days till the big day…. Christmas!

Friends and family are throwing Christmas functions and parties, so today’s post is all about what to wear to your next Christmas gathering.

I’ve collated some pics from a recent photo shoot of three of my favourite outfits for this festive season…

For the readers overseas and in the Northern hemisphere, these ideas won’t necessarily be relevant to you, as at the moment in Australia it is very warm, compared to the chilly winters abroad. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the fifth blog post in my Christmas collection! 🙂

Tropical summer vintage frock from a local boutique…

This frock looks gorgeous paired with a vintage clutch or purse, some jewels and a chic hairstyle. Now that it’s summer, the best hairstyles are up and off your face. I can recommend:

a classic high or low bun:

or

a classic milkmaid braid:

I can also recommend Princess Highway & Dangerfield for similar vintage and retro inspired frocks.

Another one of my favourite outfits for a function or Christmas party is a floral and navy Princess Highway number.

I love everything about this dress – the pussy bow on the collar bone, the subdued folds and pleats, and colour scheme.

Again, paired with anything vintage or retro, this dress will look lovely, however don’t be afraid to experiment. You may also like wearing this dress with a flower in your hair, and some statement jewelry that won’t get lost in the floral pattern of the dress.

Some hairstyles I can recommend to go with this outfit are:

the fishtail side braid:

and

a tousled bob:

And the final outfit in my Christmas photo shoot is a white pleated polka dot vintage dress. I love the way this dress folds and sits perfectly with a high statement collar and ends with a box pleat.

This dress was made for summer and looks perfect with a floppy hat, a favourite of mine is by Forever New, which has tiny daisy detailing on it.

Also jewelry will dress up the outfit, so wear jewelry that goes with the occasion.

I can recommend long necklaces for this style of dress as the collar is high & a short necklace may get lost in the design.

Two hairstyles I can recommend which will suit this outfit are:

a blunt (or layered) statement bob sported below by Miroslava Duma:

and

a half up half down hairdo sported below by Lily Collins:
