Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspiration

With Valentine’s day this Sunday, I thought this week’s post should have a Valentine’s day theme. Naturally, my first thought was outfit inspiration!

No matter the location or setting, there is a valentine’s day outfit for you.

I hope you enjoy today’s post. Happy Valentine’s day! 🙂

Date #1: Casual cafe catch-up:

If you prefer a casual yet still chic look…

A messy up-do, pleated or neutral scalloped edge shirt, complete with on-trend sunglasses and a chic bag is perfect.

Date #2: Brunch and a walk along the beach…

Again, sunglasses are a key piece to complete the look. Tousled beachy waves and a simple yet chic hairstyle is ideal since it’s bound to go crazy with the beach breeze later on anyway. Paired with your favourite dress (this season ruffles and the off the shoulder look is on trend) and rose gold accessories.

Date #3: Dinner at your favourite French restaurant:

For ultimate chic, pair white on white or black on black classic pieces with on trend accessories. For the finishing touches, style your hair into a top knot or messy bun and add neutral makeup with pink lip gloss.

Date #4: Art house cinema or theatre…

For a playful yet conservative look, pair flamboyant ruffles and off the shoulder statement tops, with neutral tube skirts and an on-trend clutch or evening bag just big enough to fit your movie tickets and touch up lippy. Don’t forget the hair – subdue glam waves and a tousled bob both look lovely.

Date #5: Thornbury food truck park…

Pair retro 70’s shades and effortless big blouses and shirts with a statement handbag. A textured bob goes amazingly well with pretty pinks and delicate laces.

Date #6: A week-end in Red Hill…

Never fear – going away for the weekend does not mean pack your entire wardrobe because you can’t decide or are worried the weather might change. Wear something practical yet stylish, whether it’s your favourite striped dress, classic tee and neutral linen capri pants and espadrilles, the list goes on. Be sure to pack a cardigan though, in case the weather does turn!

Date #7: The picture perfect picnic…

Think floppy hats, big sunnies, flowing dresses, colourful shorts, 70’s shirt dresses, jumpsuits and wavy locks. You’ll be just as picture perfect as the picnic itself!

I hope today’s post helped you decide on the perfect Valentine’s day outfit for your special day! Have a wonderful weekend!
