This Autumn it’s all about layers and statement garments. It is quite simple to achieve this look and in today’s post I’m going to share some of my style tips and layering ideas to give you some wardrobe inspiration.
#1: The oversized sweater…
Don’t think you need to go out and buy a designer label sweatshirt, in fact think simple and relatively minimal hues and pair with accessories to make a style statement.
Although saying that, this jewelled dressed up sweatshirt looks just as chic and edgy.
#2: The tie-bow knit dress…
The tie-bow knit dress is a comfy and cosy wardrobe essential this Autumn. The look is also rather versatile, so it’s a perfect trendy 9am-5pm fashion must-have.
#3: Street Style…
The street style inspired look is back this Autumn and it’s showing no signs of leaving anytime soon. Pair an everyday sweatshirt (#1) with a leather jacket or mini skirt and sneakers and you’re good to go.

#4: The bandana…
Inspired by the Western cowboy getup, the bandana has been modernised, now seen paired by fashionistas across the globe with felt fedoras, for more felt fedora style tips you might like my blog post: Trend Update: The Felt Fedora (click here) and statement overcoats.

This street style trend can also be worn as a boho headband. Cool right?
This Coachella inspired look works well with beach waves and loose fitting patterned jeanie pants and blouses.
#5: The Lace-up heel…
The lace-up heel is certainly on every fashionistas shopping list this Autumn. Ranging from feminine pastel pink hues to minimal grey hues, this new look is one to try.
These lace up beauties, also look very chic as flats…
#6: The statement skirt…
This new look suits all styles and body types. Varying from classic midi length pleated numbers, to leather minis, this new look is a must have and can definitely work from the office to after work functions and get togethers.
#7: The new overcoat…
This new trend certainly makes a statement and compliments the layering look. Seen worn by many global style icons and fashionistas, this new trend caters for all styles.
If you’re a classic kinda girl, I’d recommend pairing with a neutral hue with a classic white tie-neck blouse (trend alert) or if you prefer a more modern look I’d probably go for a black overcoat paired with a vibrant sweatshirt or textured skirt.
#8: The culottes pant…
This chic cut of pants has certainly come back in style this year. Although they make a rather loud fashion statement, depending on how you style them, anyone can pull this look off. Whether you’re a modern chic or minimalist, these pants can work for you!
Fresh and vibrant floral patterns have added zest and punch to the fashion runways this Autumn/Winter 2016. Whether they are inspired by the modern bohemian look or flower power, florals have taken centre stage.
#10: The tie-neck blouse…
This fashionable blouse paired with a cargo green textured statement midi skirt adds edge to an outfit, and chic to black fitted slacks and tasselled loafers (trend alert).
