A Classic Red Lip

A true classic and party season essential, a statement red lip for Christmas events is always a good idea. A red lip is an instant pick-me-up and is a simple yet elegant look, which comes in handy when you’re running around preparing for the holidays and need a no fuss look. Finish it off with a sweep of mascara and you’re good to go!

If you’re not into a bold rep lip as such, I’ve linked to a helpful beauty post by blogger Kate La Vie here, which I hope helps you on your quest to finding the perfect red lip!

All About that “Shimmer” & Glitter Eyeshadow

It’s no secret I’m in love with glitter eyeshadow throughout the year, but Christmas time is always a wonderful reason to pull out my favourite glitter eyeshadows!Β I think it’s such a simple and elegant makeup look which is still youthful and festive, perfect for any Christmas occasion! πŸ™‚

Pretty in Pink

If you live in the southern hemisphere like me, Christmas is in summer. I’ve included this simple pink eyeshadow look because I think it would look beautiful at this time of year with a nude pink lipstick and a swipe of mascara (the winged eyeliner is optional).

Go Chic with a Smoky Eye

It’s not necessarily the traditional route, but a smoky eye is a chic makeup look to wear over the Christmas holidays.Β I mean, brown details work well with a warm cup of cocoa, hehehe! I’ve included three different takes on the smoky eyeshadow look below, including a classic grey/purple/silver eyeshadow look and a golden smokey eye look. I hope you find them helpful!

Let your embellished cocktail dress take centre stage by pairing it with unexpectedly understated makeup. A pretty shimmer and subtle nude pink lips are the perfect balance for a dramatic party look. This makeup look is perfect for a stunning daytime look that isn’t over the top but definitely gives you that bit of va-va-voom!
