BLOGMAS: Christmas Desserts to try this festive season…

It’s no secret I love Christmas baking… it truly gives me all the “feel good” and hygge vibes, scents my house beautifully and tastes delicious! This year I have more time on my hands now that I’m on holidays earlier than I usually would be, which means you can expect to find me in the kitchen baking lots of Christmas spice desserts and all things nice, during December! Today I thought I would share some of my favourite Pinterest desserts to inspire you to get creative in the kitchen this festive season, and try and recreate some of these, I definitely want to try some of these the moment the calendar flips to December – hehehe!  From the classic ginger-bread biscuit to Insta-worthy mini finger food sweets including strawberry santas and mini puddings, I’ve searched the internet to find the loveliest recipes to get your hygge on this festive season! I hope you enjoy it – happy baking! 🙂

Lemon & Cardamom Gingerbread Cookies

Omg, these Christmas spice gingerbread cookies are so sweet, they remind me of a Scandinavian Christmas. If you’re looking for a gingerbread cookie recipe that is something a little different to the classic mix, try adding cardamom into the dough, which is inspired by the Swedish cardamom buns made around this time of year.

Snowy Chocolate Pinecones

Well aren’t these just gorgeous! You’ll never believe what these edible pinecones are made out of – nut butter and cereal! It’s part healthy, part sweet and lots of fun – a lovely edible Christmas craft activity to entertain children with, but also just as fun to make with your adult friends – and there’s no baking required! I think these chocolate pinecones also look very chic and elegant at a snow-themed event (we have to make believe where I live, but with a little imagination it isn’t too hard!). Mother Nature never tasted so sweet.
