September Weekend Reading…

And just like that it’s almost October (I think I have whiplash from how quickly September flew by, haha!)… this can only mean one thing, it’s time for the next monthly instalment of Daisy’s weekend reading! 😉

In case you’re a new reader (hello & welcome to my little corner of the internet!); my monthly weekend reading list includes lots of links to inspiring and interesting articles & blog posts, videos, podcasts, Instagram feeds I’m loving and more, that I’ve enjoyed lately. Okay, so let’s dive right in… make yourself comfortable, brew a cup of tea and enjoy!

One of my favourite UK bloggers, Liv Purvis has been writing some lovely blog posts about her beautiful wedding ceremony (the lovely couple got married earlier this year but September is ‘wedding month’ on her blog What Olivia Did). Not only is her wedding dress an absolute dream, it’s pastel pink and made of tulle, every little detail is superb and suits the couple’s taste to a tee. I also adore her honest and inspiring blog post about choosing a wedding dress that is your personal style and ‘taste’. Needless to say, Liv looked like a real life princess on her big day!

The Kate Spade S2020 fashion show was beyond – I’ve been endlessly scrolling through their beautiful Instagram feed during fashion week and wish I had the budget to buy their pastel and floral print designs, haha! A girl can daydream…

I love the sound of Mecca Cosmetica’s latest launch called ‘weekend skin’ hyrda skin tint – from the reviews I’ve read online, the formula sounds like a very lightweight product with a subtle glow… not to mention, their marketing campaign and blogger PR release for this launch was divine – you can watch it on their Instagram if you’re interested.

The absolute ICON that is Taylor Swift recently did another interview with Rolling Stones magazine and I love it. She’s such an inspiring woman in so many aspects of her life.

Carissa Smart’s beautiful typography and lettering projects are a MOOD. It’s no secret I adore inspirational quotes and she’s seriously hit the nail on head with these words of wisdom…

Also, another one of my favourite luxury fashion bloggers, In The Frow recently got married and their wedding was a DREAM – a week in a chateau in France… her bespoke couture dresses and designer ‘daytime’ outfits and accessories, a beautiful location, all the little personalised details and more! Of course, I’ve already watched their wedding video on YouTube and also loved the short documentary they made about making of a Couture Bridal Gown with Phillipa Lepley… there’s also a lot of lovely blog posts on InTheFrow sharing more stunning photographs from their wedding and more details! Swoon…

I’m excited to watch the new film ‘Knives Out’ – it has an amazing cast and I enjoy the suspense of watching murder mysteries (apparently it’s a modern take on Agatha Christie, yes please!) The trailer already has me intrigued…

The lovely Rolly Mag recently created a discount code directory on her beauty blog and oh my word is it a good one! She definitely knows what’s up when it comes to bargin hunting and sales, hahaha!

I just discovered the Salty Octopi memes account on Instagram and relate to so many of these it’s not even funny, hahaha! I recommend following their feed if you’re looking for a laugh.

I may have just found the cutest little bucket hat for summer from Sportsgirl…
